Kukicha Twig Tea: A Special Winter’s Tea!
As you may have noticed from my earlier post, I’ve started preparing presents for Christmas. As you may imagine, tea enjoys a prominent role in the gifts I choose! If you’re you’re wondering what tea is best for a winter’s night, let me assure you that the Kukicha Twig brew is a fantastic option. Kukicha is from Japan, invented by peasants trying to get through the winter’s shortage of fresh tea leaves. They added tea twigs and stems to their brews, and they were delighted to see that after picking, drying and roasting, the stems and twigs made a delicious nutty liquor. Kukicha has the least amount of caffeine of any tea made from the tea plant. It goes well with any juice, and has a cream aftertaste.
